Meet Erin

Dear all, I'm Erin, your private  tour guide in London England, your best friend, dedicated to helping you explore top London attractions and most fabulous places of England your very own way. I'm enthusiastic and love what I do passionately. I am a New Yorker with a European background, living over 10 years in London, and loving it!

What I do...

I offer private London sightseeing tours (part walking / part public transport) or by private car, giving you a real insight into one of the world’s most awesome cities! Also, private day tours from London to countryside of England. I am a keen traveler myself so I know how to make my London layover tour / Heathrow layover tour original and interesting.

Your Experience

Your London layover tour experience can be tailored to your liking, whether you enjoy visiting medieval castles and villages, the skyline of London city or having a pint of beer in the same pub William Shakespeare or Churchill did!

Its up to you to decide.

London Layover Tour

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you cancel your London layover walking tours if it rains?

Absolutely Not. My London layover walking tours take place in the rain or Sunshine. London has, as we say, four seasons in one day. Rain will not deter me from showing you some great London gems. Just bring an umbrella or raincoat. Please note, London weather may change from summer to winter in one day, and the other way around, Therefore my advise is to wear multiple layers of clothes.

What should I wear or bring for the tour?

Shoes! Comfortable footwear is key. Also bring a camera and a bottle of water.

What is the maximum group size of a tour?

Remember, I like to keep it private, so walking tours are for up to 7 people including children (car tours are up to 6 people, don’t forget it comes with driver).

What will be the mode of transportation?

If you choose London walking tour, London has one of the best public transport systems (and the oldest tube system in the World) to reach from point A to point B. Also, there are Double-Decker buses. Passes (oyster cards) will be prepaid and provided by me to save your time in busy London queues. It is the best way to experience London the local way!

Are the London layover tours suitable for children and elderly?

Yes. Absolutely! If you are in good shape and fit to walking why not. However, I can tailor make  a tour that is suitable for elderly and children in your group. Please let me know in advance of your needs in your email. Clearly, there can be more breaks, and less walking in the tour if needed.

What about the meals on the day?

Please note, any meals are not included in the initial price of London tour. Simply let me know in advance what you would like on the day so I may plan or arrange it accordingly. Otherwise, we can play it by the ear. I'm not a foodie, but anything can be arranged.

Can I make my own itinerary for my private London layover tour?

Yes. Please provide me points of interests that you want to see and I will arrange it the best possible way of getting from point A to B.

Should I bring cash on the day?

Meals, drinks, transport and souvenirs are not included in the London layover tour. You may bring as much cash as you think you may need for yourself. Most shops and restaurants will accept credit cards but not guaranteed.

Sample itineraries – why don’t  I have them?

London is a huge city, with a population of about 8 million people – which means there is so much to see and do, therefore for most visitors it can be quite overwhelming and the biggest problem is time. If you do not know the city, it is impossible to work out how much time you need to get from one point to another. Every person is different, and may be interested indifferent things, therefore, every London tour is different, according to your needs. I am more than happy to fit in your specific requests. Although, the majority of my guests leave the London layover tour itinerary up to me.

TESTIMONIALS

Best London layover tour I could even imagine! I didn’t even know those exist! My sister and I traveled from USA to Perth via London (12 hour Heathrow layover). As first timers in England we were picked up from the airport, taken to the city, shown the best of London and we even managed to enjoy a couple of hours stretching our tired legs and enjoying local food and drinks in the English garden of roses. I’m so glad we found Erin!

Great thanks for our walking 8 hour layover tour in London. So informative as for first timers! My husband and I booked this tour before arriving in England. She promised we will have a great time and we did! We left the itinerary for Erin as we didn’t know where to start, just outlining a few things we really wanted to see, and it was so simple using public transport(she even had prepaid cards for us so we don’t waste even one minute for purchasing them)plus we saw so much more in between. Perfect way of getting to know London really fast for those who do not like crowded touristy buses and strict itineraries.

We did not have very long hours during our layover in London, so the best choice was visiting Stonehenge by car. It was very relaxing and nice experience seeing this wonder of the world. Just before time for departure, we were back in our airport to continue our trip. Great thanks to Erin for this wonderful experience.

I traveled to London for business and in the evening time me and my colleagues had just few hours left before going back home next morning. I am happy we have been recommended to contact Erin, who managed to show us the busy life of night time London in 8 hours. She took us to Soho, Chinatown and the most English and brilliant pubs! It was like a movie!
